Mortgage Allies is an independent Canadian brokerage based in the Oakville area. Our journey began 5 years ago when Jacques du Preez launched the brokerage. Jacques moved to Canada in 1999, he has spent the last 20 years building life here! Our brokerage is unique in that we have built a successful Canadian business, with the bulk of our team working virtually from SA.

The Position:

Our Canadian team is now in need of a Mortgage Underwriter.
The compensation we’re offering is:

Base income

Additional competitive commissions

Bonus based on achieved sales targets

Requirements:

Post-secondary education preferred

At least one year relevant mortgage or banking experience

Responsibilities:

Interpret mortgage applications to create suitable client mortgage solutions

Prepare client mortgage solutions

Pre-qualify clients

Underwrite mortgages

Submit mortgages for final approval

Manage mortgage production process

Manage fulfillment staff and the fulfillment process

Follow up with clients

Mine CRM for mortgage leads & opportunities to show care to clients

Work with the marketing and technology teams to audit software solutions and create marketing programs
